A BRIEF HISTORY OF ROTHMANS

Rothmans is one of the largest accountancy practices in the south of England today, with 12 offices and over 200 staff.  But it all began as a one-man firm, set up by Algernon Rothman in Winchester in 1955.

The office thrived and established itself as one of the leading accountants in the city.  It attracted some of the best talent in the area and in 1962 a highly-respected tax specialist, Geoff Pantall, joined the firm as a partner and the business began its expansion programme with the opening of additional offices in Havant and Fareham.

Over the following 40 years, Rothmans opened offices all around the region, from Southampton to Surrey, still attracting the brightest professionals and driven by a single focus – to work in partnership with its clients in a relationship where everyone counts.
